The original layout was completely redesigned to create a spacious double walk-in shower, one of the homeowners' biggest wishes, alongside a sculptural freestanding tub and custom double vanities.

Designed around the clients' vision for a dramatic contemporary space, the bathroom combines rich charcoal porcelain tile with warm brushed brass fixtures, creating a striking contrast that immediately draws the eye. The original stained-glass window was the one element we chose to preserve, bringing a touch of romance and character into the otherwise modern design. Thoughtfully layered lighting, custom cabinetry, and elegant finishes complete the space, balancing bold aesthetics with everyday comfort.

This family relocated from California to Round Rock, Texas, ready to create a fresh start in a home that reflected their love of coastal design. Before they even moved in, I painted several feature walls and fully furnished the home, creating a warm, welcoming space from day one.

The dining room was transformed by removing an outdated built-in and replacing it with a custom bar area, making the space both more functional and inviting for entertaining. Throughout the home, I incorporated the family's own travel photography, celebrating their love of nature and adventure while adding meaningful personal touches. Soft blues, natural textures, and light finishes create a relaxed coastal atmosphere that feels timeless, comfortable, and uniquely theirs.

This 1970s Austin home underwent a complete transformation, reimagining both its layout and interior design to support modern family living better. Nearly every interior wall was removed, creating an open-concept floor plan that dramatically improved the home's flow, natural light, and connection between the main living spaces.

To reinforce the openness of the new layout, the kitchen ceiling was raised to match the living room's height, creating a single continuous architectural volume. The dining room wall was extended to better define the space while maintaining clear sightlines throughout the home.

The fireplace wall was intentionally designed as the home's focal point, as it is the first architectural feature seen upon entering. Clad in textured architectural stone typically used on exterior façades, it brings warmth, depth, and a bold visual statement that anchors the entire living space.

Throughout the home, natural materials, layered textures, custom details, and carefully selected artwork create an eclectic yet timeless aesthetic. Vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces were thoughtfully incorporated throughout the design, from the antique front doors, discovered at a local vintage shop and integrated into a custom-built entry closet, to the entry bench, which I reupholstered using a vintage Afghan blanket. In the living room, the vintage purple armchairs were also personally reupholstered, reflecting my belief that meaningful pieces are often worth preserving and reimagining rather than replacing.

The result is a bright, welcoming home that feels collected, timeless, and deeply personal, beautifully balancing architectural transformation with everyday comfort.

Rather than replacing the kitchen, we refreshed the existing cabinetry with paint, installed new countertops, and made thoughtful updates that gave the space an entirely new look while staying within budget. The opening between the kitchen and family room was significantly widened to create a brighter, more connected layout that feels open and inviting.

The project also included remodeling the bathrooms, updating both fireplaces and the entryway, and furnishing and styling the home from top to bottom. From architectural updates to the finishing details, every element was carefully selected to create a home that feels beautiful, personal, and effortless to live in—one that the family will continue to love for years to come.
